Head Elementary was announced as one of the statewide
BRONZE AWARD winners. The BRONZE AWARD was given to those
schools which had a minimum of 95% of students meeting
or exceeding standards on the Spring 2009 administration
of the CRCT (with at least 20% exceeding standards).

SILVER AWARD winners. The SILVER AWARD was given to

(4/25/08) Results are in from the 5th Grade writing
assessment and R.D. Head students performed exceptionally
well. R.D. Head was the only school in Gwinnett with
a 100% pass rate. Our 45% of students in the "Exceeds"
category was also the highest in the county. Way to
go 5th Grade students and teachers.

February 8, 2007 -- State Superintendent
of Schools Kathy Cox this morning named R.D. Head Elementary
as one of Georgia's 25 Schools of Excellence in Student
Achievement. "We have many schools that are doing
a great job in Georgia, but these 25 schools stand out,"
Superintendent Cox said. "The teachers, principals
and students in these schools are leading the way in
achievement and improvement in all areas. Congratulations
to them all."

levels. Our teachers are professionals who are prepared
to provide challenging work that will motivate students
