How do I get to R.D. Head Elementary School?
R.D. Head is located at 1801 Hewatt Road in Lilburn, Ga. Hewatt Road is a connector road that joins Highway 78 and Oak Road. If you are on Highway 78 and coming from Stone Mountain, look for Hewatt Road approximately 5 miles after Stone Mountain. If you are on Highway 78 and coming from the Athens direction, look for Hewatt Road approximately 3 miles after you pass South Gwinnett High School. What time does school start and end?
The official school day begins at 8:50 a.m. and ends at 3:20 p.m.
Students are allowed to enter the school building beginning at 8:20 a.m.
On early release days, school is dismissed at 12:50 p.m.

What Constitutes a "Full Day" Of Attendance?
To be counted present for the whole day, students must attend for at least the equivalent of half the school day. This does not have to be continuous time.
