At this time (02/01/10), R. D. Head students
have been set up in the the Online Assessment System (OAS).
This means that each student is able to log into OAS using
their GTID (Georgia Testing Identification) number and their
local school password. Practice tests have been created at
the "school" and "county" level.
In mid February, all students will come home
with an OAS information sheet that will contain login info
and other OAS information. Please feel free to reference the
information and links below to learn more about how OAS is
utilized at R. D. Head. If you have any questions, please
let me know via e-mail.
Parents - if you are interested in having
your child practice using the state created test, please feel
free to email me and I will provide you with your child's
Login ID and password.
Reference Information
In a typical year, the CRCT practice tests
are created at three different levels...state, county and
local school. All three test types are available for the students
to take online. The tests that I create at the local (school)
level will also be available for printing from the school
website.
A brief description of each type of test is below. If you
have any questions about the OAS, please contact Allen Bullock
at 770-736-4507 or via e-mail.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
State Created Tests - Available via a student
logging into the OAS system and selecting VIEW STUDENT TESTS.
There are several practice tests in each subject
area. These tests are short, typically 5-8 questions.
County Created Tests - Available via a student
logging into the OAS system and selecting VIEW TEACHER ASSIGNED
TESTS. There are typically 2-5 tests from each domain
area. Currently there are 45 5th grade tests, 59 4th grade
tests, 67 3rd grade tests, 37 2nd grade tests, 38 1st grade
tests. Using the chart located at the bottom of this page,
you should be able to identify the domains covered on the
various tests. These tests range from 10 to 35 questions in
length, unless you see the word ALL in the
title. The tests which include the word ALL
in the title may be even longer.
School Created Tests - These tests are typically
listed below the county created tests and have the word HOME
in the title of the test. The word HOME
comes right after the grade level in the title of the test.
There are either 3 (1st and 2nd Grades) or 5 _3rd-5th Grades)
tests from each subject area and each test includes
questions from all of the domains within that subject area.
These tests contain 20 questions. These tests are also available
for printing via clicking on the CRCT Printable Tests
link located at the top of this page (answer sheet included).
Your child should come home on (or
before) February 12th, 2010 with an OAS info sheet that contains
his/her GTID number. Click here
to see a copy of the letter that was sent home. If you did
not receive this letter and need your child's GTID number
and password, please call or e-mail
me. Using this number and their password, a student can
log in to the OAS to take practice CRCT tests.
